You will learn how to control the tone and value of your drawings using techniques like hatching, cross-hatching, and blending. You will also learn how to create texture and depth in your drawings using techniques like stippling and scumbling.

Throughout the class, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of subjects and compositions. You will also learn how to troubleshoot common problems that may arise in your pencil drawings, such as smudging and erasing issues.
